When coffee connoisseurs herald one region for producing the world’s best coffee, you can expect they will name either the Kona region of Hawaii’s Big Island (our home) or the Blue Mountain region on the Caribbean island of Jamaica.

Sometimes Kona is named World’s Best; sometimes Jamaica Blue Mountain is: both areas share similar topographic and climate characteristics and produce great coffee.  

And so we wondered, what if we could produce coffee that shares the wonderful characteristics of both regions.  And that coffee is one we bring to you today.
Kona Blue Mountain

Many years ago, one of our neighbors imported to Kona a few coffee seedlings from the Blue Mountain region near Kingston, Jamaica.  Her family planted these trees on Kona’s Hualalai Mountain.

Over the years, these trees began to acclimate to the Kona region, creating a unique, smooth, full-bodied cup with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of citrus.  For years, her family has enjoyed this unique "Kona Blue Mountain" coffee, sharing it with friends and neighbors.

Now, our friend and her family are retiring and the future of her very unique trees is in doubt.  We have enjoyed Kona Blue Mountain for years; for this last harvest, we have been able to secure most of the crop to share with you.

This is a rare opportunity that may never come again.  We have an exceptionally small micro-lot of coffee; it will not be available for long.  We have turned to Hawaii’s only Specialty Coffee Association premier roaster to create a unique roasting profile and roast this Kona Blue Mountain to capture the best possible flavor.
